Note:Atleastonesupportedthird-partyindexing/searchsoftwareshouldbeinstalledon
thesystembeforeyouinstallDragon,ortheEnableDesktopSearchcommandscheck
boxwillnotonlybeunchecked,butwillnotbeavailabletobechecked.Dragonsupports
GoogleDesktopandMicrosoftVistaSearch.
6. Enteranothernatspeakcommand:
natspeak /SetDefaultFormattingOptions
7. WhentheAuto-Formattingdialogboxappears,selectAuto-Formattingoptionstoapply
toallclientinstallationsandclickOK.
8. Enterafinalnatspeakcommand:
natspeak /setdefaultadministrativeoptions
9. Whenthedialogboxappears,ifyouwanttosetupRoamingUserProfiles,setthe
optionsunderRoamingUserProfile(tosettheHTTPorHTTPSsettingsunderthe
HTTPSettingsorHTTPSSettingsbutton,youmusthaveeitherhttp://orhttps://infront
ofthenetworkdirectorypath);whetheryouhaveRoamingUserProfilesornot,setthe
optionsunderMiscellaneousandScheduledTaskstabsandclickApplyforeach;then,
whenyouhavesetallthesettings,clickOK.
10. Dragonhassavedtheconfigurationyoucreatedwithrunningnatspeak.exeinthensde-
faults.iniandroamingdef.inifiles(theroamingdef.inifileiscreatedonlyifyousetupRoam-
ingUserProfiles).Youcanfindthese.inifilesunder
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nuance\Nat-
urallySpeaking13\.
Note:Ifyoudonotfindthensdefaults.inifileinthesub-foldersunderAllUsers,navigate
toAllUsers.WINDOWS,oradministrator,oranyotherDocumentsandSettingssub-
foldersforotherend-usersonthisworkstationuntilyoulocatethensdefaults.inifile.It’s
possiblethattheworkstationwasconfiguredsothatadifferent“user”folderisthedefault
forapplicationdataforNuanceandotherapplications.
These.inifilesarenowconsideredcustomizedfiles,becausetheynowtheycontainthe
customsettingsthatwillbeappliedtoeachoftheDNSclientinstallationsyoudeploy.
Retrievethensdefaults.iniandroamingdef.inifilesandcopythemtoadirectorywhere
youcanaccessthemfromtheotherclientcomputers.(Ifyoudidnotrunnatspeak.exeon
thecommandline,youdonotfindaroamingdef.inifile;inthatcase,youcanusearoam-
ing.inifilefromanexistinginstallationwhosesettingsyou’dliketoreplicate.Ifyoudidnot
changetheNetworkSettings,youdonotneedaroamingdef.iniorroaming.inifileatall.)
11. Whenyouhavelocatedthensdefaults.inifile,verifythatyouroptionsettingshavebeen
