Chapter 10: Working with Custom commands
Using the Convert XML to DAT tool
You can use a text editor to open commands that are in XML format. To allow only Dragon users
to access those command files, you can convert them fromXMLformat to DAT format. Dragon
uses
.dat
files to store commands.
You can use the XMLto DATtool (
mycmdsxml2dat.exe
) to extract user-defined Dragon com-
mands from an XML file. The tool writes the commands to a
.dat
file. Use the
nsadmin
utility
or the
Data Distribution Tool
to make the new
.dat
files available to those other users.
