Customizing Vocabularies with the
Vocabulary Tool
You use the Dragon
Vocabulary Tool
to customize a vocabulary by adding new words and by opti-
mizing the language model. The
Vocabulary Tool
is only available in VAR and Legal editions of
Dragon.
This section of the Administrator Guide Help describes the
Vocabulary Tool Wizard
and includes

Starting Voctool
There are two ways to start
Voctool
:
n Click Start> All Programs>
Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5
> Dragon
NaturallySpeaking Tools > Voctool.
n You can run the
Vocabulary Tool
using MS-DOS commands. To view a list of command-line
switches for running the
Vocabulary Tool
, type
voctool.exe /?
at the prompt inside a
command-prompt window. See Voctool command line switches for a list of switches. By
default,
voctool
is located in:
C:\Program Files\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking11\Program
Notes
When you start the
Vocabulary Tool
, you use the
Introduction
page to select a User Profile and
vocabulary. Before you run the
Vocabulary Tool
, you can click the
Change User/Vocabulary
button to change the user profile. If you try to change the user profile or vocabulary while the
Vocabulary Tool
is running, the tool stops and discards any changes it made.
