You must have a drive letter mapped to the network location to access the user files from the Open
User dialog box. UNC paths are not supported.
To upgrade V6/V7 users:
1 From the Windows Start Menu, select Dragon NaturallySpeaking 8>Dragon
NaturallySpeaking Tools>Upgrade. This displays the User Upgrade Wizard
dialog box:
2 Click Add to open a dialog box where you can specify the location of the users
to upgrade. Once you have selected the users, click Next.
3 For the users selected, the Upgrade Wizard lets you specify to upgrade only the
selected user, all users in the directory you selected, or choose which users
should be upgraded. Once you have selected the user files to upgrade, click
Next.
4 The Upgrade Wizard lets you choose where the upgraded users are to be
stored.
The <Default> location is:
Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\ScanSoft\NaturallySpeaking8\Users directory.
Click the Browse button to navigate to another directory to use a directory other
than <Default>.
Click the Advanced button to specify different target directories for different
users and to select new base vocabularies for the upgraded users.
