With this option set, saying
commands that start with
“correct” opens the Spelling
Window. So does using the
Correction button on the
expanded DragonBar, or pressing
the Correction hotkey (the
numeric minus by default, as seen
in the Options dialog).
As you will see, there are many
ways to indicate in the Spelling
Window what should have been
recognized—including typing, or
spelling out individual characters,
hence the name “Spelling
Window.”
Here is an example. Imagine you wanted "Madyssen" (note the unusual spelling of this name) but Dragon wrote
“medicine” (a word commonly used in English) instead of “Madyssen” (a relatively rare noun). To correct Dragon’s
error, you can say “correct medicine”. The Spelling Window then opens.
