Chapter 2: Installing Dragon
To upgrade existing user profiles:
1. TostarttheUser Upgrade Wizard,selectStart>All Programs>Dragon
NaturallySpeaking>Dragon NaturallySpeaking Tools>Upgrade Users.TheUser
UpgradeWizardappears.
2. OntheSelect Users to Upgradepage,modifythelisttoincludeonlytheuserprofilesthat
youwanttoupgradenow.Thewizardstartsbyincludingalluserprofilesinthecurrent
folderascandidatestoupgrade.YouaddtothelistbyclickingtheAddbuttonand
browsingforadditionaluserprofilesinotherlocations.Youremoveuserprofilesfromthe
listbyselectingthemandclickingtheRemovebutton.Afterthelistcontainsonlytheuser
profilesyouwanttoupgrade,clickNext.
3. ClickNextandchoosethelocationfortheupgradeduserprofiles.AstheUserUpgrade
Wizardmodifiesyouruserfilestoworkwiththenewestversion,itcanplacetheupgraded
userinanotherlocationwhilekeepingtheoldfilesuntouched,incaseyouneedthem
again.
4. ClicktheBrowsebuttonintheChoose Destinationpageofthewizardtoselectthe
locationfortheupgradeduserprofiles.Ifyoudonotsetalocation,Dragonplacesthe
profilesinthedefaultlocation(seeVersion13FileStructure).
5. (Optional)Ifyouwanttomakechangestotheuserlocations,basevocabularies,and/or
acousticmodels,clicktheAdvancedbuttonandtheAdvanced Optionsdialogboxopens.
Inthisdialogbox,youcanmakefineradjustmentstohowthewizardupgradesparticular
users.Youseealistoftheusersbeingupgraded.Foreachuserprofile,youseethe
