amountofdiskspaceonyourC:drive.
YoucancustomizeyourinstallationtoreducetheamountofdiskspaceusedonyourC:
drivebynotinstallingunwantedlanguagesandvocabularies.Formoreinformation,see

Upgrading the operating system to Windows 7 or Windows 8
IfyouupgradeamachinefromapreviousversionofWindowstoWindows7orWindows8
andthatmachinehasVersion11.xor12.xofDragoninstalled,thatversionofDragonwill
notworkafterupgrading.Allyouruserprofilesfromthesepreviousversionsremainintact
andcanbeupgradedwhenyouinstallDragonVersion13.
Coexistence with other Dragon products
Coexistence with previous versions of Dragon
YoucanhaveonlyoneversionofDragoninstalledonyoursystem.
Note:
Running a previous version of Dragon concurrently with Version 13 is not supported.
Coexistence with the Dragon SDK Client Edition
YoucaninstallDragonSDKClientEdition13onthesamemachinewhereDragon13is
installed.Inaddition,Dragon13andDragonSDKClientEdition13canshareuserprofiles
andvocabularies.
Youcanonlyrunoneproductatatime.Forexample,ifyouarerunningDragon,youcannot
runanyoftheSDKClienttoolsorsamples.
Note:
Coexistence of Version 13 with Dragon SDK Client Edition Version 11.x, or 12.x is not
supported.
Installation Prerequisites
Before installing the software (or modifying or upgrading it)
1. Closeallopenapplications.
2. Turnoffordisableantivirussoftware;theinstallationprocesscansometimestriggera
falsevirusreport.
Note:YoumusthaveAdministratorrightstoinstalloruninstallDragononWindows7or
Windows8.AdministratorrightsarenotrequiredtocreateaDragonuserprofileorusethe
softwareafterinstallation.
OnWindows7andWindows8systems,ifasanadministratoryouwanttocreateaDragon
userprofileforaWindowslimiteduser(userwithrestrictedprivileges),youmustlogon
usingthatWindowslimiteduseraccountbeforecreatingtheDragonprofile.
IfyoucreateaDragonprofileforalimitedWindowsuserwhileloggedinasaWindows
administrator,thelimiteduserwillnotbeabletoaccessthatDragonprofile.These
