How to Select The Correct Micro-Plus Device:
Whether you are going to treat an ice maker or a humidifier, the key to selecting the proper Micro-Plus is the amount of
water to be treated per day. In the case of ice makers and coffee urns, this can also be addressed in terms of pounds of
ice made per day or pounds of coffee per week. Simply consult the chart below:

TREATMENT CAPACITIES
All are equipped with 1/4” FPT connections, and this allows for the selection and use of compression or flare fittings, or “quick-disconnectplug fittings.
HOW DOES MICRO-PLUS
®
WORK?
CUSTOM MOLDED
HOUSING
The housing is constructed of a
P.V.C. material which meets FDA
and NSF standards for use in
drinking water systems.
DEFLECTOR
This device has been designed to
direct the water flow evenly across
the filter bed, thereby eliminating
the potential for “channeling.
FOURTH STAGE
A high density polyethylene
filter disc that traps
suspended particles as
small as 20 microns.
THIRD STAGE
Special blend of a highly absorbent activated
carbon. This carbon has the ability to absorb
larger amounts of chemicals such as chlorine
and ammonia so that there is no unpleasant
taste or odor in the water used to make your
beverages or ice.
SECOND STAGE
The second stage is a lime scale inhibitor. These crystals
are FDA and NSF approved food grade hexametaphosphate
crystals which slowly dissolve into the water and inhibit the
formation of lime scale or calcium deposits. This is done by
keeping the hardness particulates separated so they do not
precipitate and form deposits in the equipment.
FIRST STAGE
Inlet is a 100 mesh polypropylene screen that traps large
particles above 100 microns. This unique feature allows
smaller particles to be trapped within the filter itself so
that the inlet will not become prematurely clogged.
