Adding a favourite of your own
With the "Favourites" menu item, you access the Web interface for adding new favourites directly. If you
have the unique URL of a stream, you can simply save it using the "Add" menu item. If you give it a mean-
ingful name, you'll be able to find it more easily later, as well.
Note: It's not enough to just enter a Web page in the format http://classicradio.com, even if a stream is
lying in wait for your iRadio deep in the lower reaches of the Web page. It's best just to copy the address
of the actual Internet radio server into the iRadio station list using the "Copy link address" function in the
Web browser. For more detailed instructions on how to find Internet radio addresses, please see the ap-
pendix.
As soon as your new favourite has been saved, it will appear in your list of saved favourites and in the Fa-
vourites menu, which you can access from the main menu or via the button.
Your Premium vTuner Service, managing favourites (part two)
One of the "premium" qualities of the vTuner subscription that comes with your iRadio is that you can cus-
tomise the Internet radio list by adding stations of your own via your web browser. Here's how:
Open your web browser and enter the URL of the vTuner Premium Service:
http://www.radio567.com
Enter the MAC address of your iRadio in the field at the lower left of the page. You can find it on the bottom
panel of the device, usually in a format such as 00-11-A5-7B-C5-70. It's not necessary to enter the sepa-
rator characters: 0011a57bc570. The entry is not case-sensitive.
Now click "Go".
You should now be seeing something like this. To add
stations of your own and play them on your iRadio, regis-
ter with vTuner.
Click the link at the top right, "Create Account Login". On
the following page, enter your e-mail address and a
password. If you do not want to receive consumer infor-
mation, remove the check next to "Receive program
updates and special offers", then click and
you're finished.
You can now add your favourite station by clicking "Go" in
"My Added Stations"—enter the name of the station, its
web address (URL), its geographic origin (e.g. Germany)
and its "format" or genre. Press "Go" to confirm again,
and your new station will henceforth be added to the
Internet radio menu
on the iRadio in "My Added Sta-
tions"!
