The S/390 and zSeries are only able to “understand” AppleTalk

if the AppleShare server is conﬁgured to use TCP/IP encapsu-

lated AppleTalk.

To take full advantage of all the options Netatalk offers, read the corre-

sponding manual pages. Find them by entering the command rpm -qd

netatalk. The /etc/netatalk/netatalk.conf ﬁle is not used in this
