Further check that your system has the latest BIOS and, if necessary, update
it. Information about BIOS updates can be found on the home page of the
relevant motherboard vendor.
Caution
BIOS Updates
A BIOS update is tricky to implement. It is therefore imperative
that you follow the instructions issued by your motherboard
vendor, as otherwise your motherboard could become inoperable
and your system could no longer start.
Caution
Older network cards (for example, 3COM) must be connected to the moth-
erboard with a three-pin cable. On newer network cards, this procedure is
no longer necessary.
17.7.2 Configuration with YaST
Start YaST as root user and select ‘Network Services’ ‘WOL’. If there is
a DHCP server running on your computer, the WOL module displays the
