The current function of the encoders is indicated on the top line of the left-hand ReMOTE ZeRO SL display, as follows:
Pan: Encoders control panning of a mono track, or left-channel panning of a stereo track.
PanR: Encoders control right-channel panning of a stereo track.
SndA: Encoders control send bank A level.
SndB: Encoders control send bank B level.
SndC: Encoders control send bank C level.
SndD: Encoders control send bank D level.
SndE: Encoders control send bank E level.
ASGN: Encoders control send routing of currently selected send bank.
FLIP: ReMOTE ZeRO SL is in Flip Mode (see below)
The upper left-hand row of buttons on the ReMOTE ZeRO SL can be used to set track automation mode. Select an
automation mode using the AUTOMATION MODE SELECT pot, then press a button in the top left-hand row to set the
corresponding track to the selected mode. The currently selected automation mode is shown above the AUTOMATION
MODE SELECT pot on the top line of the left-hand ReMOTE ZeRO SL display. If you simply want to see the current
automation mode of a track without changing it set the automation mode to ‘*View’ and press the button corresponding
to that track. The abbreviated track name on the left-hand display will temporarily change to show that track’s
automaton mode.
Controlling Sends – Flip Mode
Flip mode allows control over additional send parameters on the Pro Tools mixer. To put the ReMOTE ZeRO SL into Flip
mode press the 4th ROW-SELECT button on the left-hand side (next to the pots). The 4th ROW-SELECT LED will light when
the ReMOTE ZeRO SL is in Flip mode. You can then use the ReMOTE ZeRO SL to control sends as follows:
The left-hand ReMOTE ZeRO SL display will look as it does in Track mode however send routing is shown in place of
abbreviated track names (the ‘-‘ symbol indicates no send routing):
In Flip mode the sliders control send level of the currently selected send bank. As in Track mode, the slider levels are
displayed on the right-hand ReMOTE ZeRO SL display as a MIDI value (0-127). To see the slider value in dB, hold down
the SLIDER ROW-SELECT button whilst operating a slider and the abbreviated track name on the left-hand display will
temporarily change to show level in dB.
