2.0 INTRODUCTION

indicator. With RS‐232 and USB interface for communication with printers and
computers, splash‐proof keypad, and sturdy plastic construction, the Highland
TM
serieswillbeabalanceyoucanrelyupon.Wehopethatyouenjoyusingyournew
balance.
3.0 SETUP
3.1 UNPACKINGANDSETTINGUPYOURBALANCE
1) Removethebalance,draftshield,toppan,ACadapterandpansupportfrom
thepackaging
2) Remove all the transit protection packaging from the calibration lever
(protectstheinternalcalibrationassemblyduringtransit)
3) Remove the shipping protection screw and transit disc from the top of the
balance and place the plastic top pan support on the balance. Do not use
excessiveforcewhenremovingandinstallingthescrew.
4) PuttheStainlesssteelpanontopofthepansupport
5) Placethedraftshieldontopofthebalance,thelocationnotchesinthebreeze
shield should align with the cut outs on the balance. For optimu m
performancethebalanceshouldbeusedwiththedraftshield(ifprovided).
