4. Attach the lower arms to the hitch pins and secure with linch pins.
5. Connect the top center 3-point link to the upper center hitch point with a clevis pin. Secure the
clevis pin with a hairpin cotter pin. (Clevis pins and hairpin cotter pins are furnished by
customer.)
6. Return to the tractor and slowly raise the harrow until it’s several inches off the ground.
7. Set the 3-point lift arms for a lateral float.
8. See the section below on lower 3-point arm leveling for instructions on how to level the hitch
frame from left to right.
9. See the section on center 3-point link leveling (following page) for instructions on leveling the
hitch frame from front to back.
10. Make certain that the support chains are properly attached to the main frame.
11. Return to the tractor and slowly raise and lower the harrow to ensure the drawbar, tires, and
other equipment on the tractor do not make contact with the harrow. Move the drawbar
forward or remove it if it interferes.
Lower 3-Point Arm Leveling
12. Locate the tractor with the Spike Tooth Harrow on a flat, level surface.
13. Use the tractor’s hydraulic 3-point control lever to lower the harrow until the spike teeth are off
the ground 2 to 3 inches.
Engage the parking brake, shut the tractor off, and remove the key before proceeding.
14. Place a level on the harrow hitch as shown. Manually adjust one or both lower 3-point lift
arms until the hitch frame is level from left to right. On some tractors, only one arm can be
adjusted vertically.
