Tractor Hook-Up
A 3-point category I hitch is required for the grader blade. The lower 3-point arms of the 3-point hitch
must be stabilized to prevent side-to side movement. Most tractors have sway blocks or adjustable
chains for this purpose.
1. Locate a flat and level concrete surface.
2. Slowly back the tractor up to the grader blade while using the tractor’s 3-point hydraulic
control to align the lower hitch arms and ball swivels with the hitch lugs on the grader blade.
3. Engage the tractor’s parking brake, shut the tractor’s engine off, and remove the key before
dismounting the tractor.
4. Attach the lower arms to the hitch pins and secure with linch pins. Note: Linch pins are
supplied by the customer.
5. Connect the top center link to the upper hitch using a customer supplied clevis pin and linch
pin. If required, start the tractor and slowly raise the 3-point hitch about 1” - 2" to align the
center link with the grader blade’s center hitch pin hole.
6. Ensure that the lower hitch arms are blocked to prevent excessive side movement.
7. Return to the tractor and slowly operate the controls up and down to check for clearance
between the grader blade and the tractor tires, frame, and drawbar. Move or remove the
drawbar if it interferes with the grader blade.
8. Manually adjust one of the two lower lift arms up or down to level the grader blade from left to
right.
9. Manually adjust the length of the top center link to level the grader blade from front to rear.

Operating Checklist
Hazard control and accident prevention are dependent upon the awareness, concern, prudence, and

Therefore, it is absolutely essential that no one operates the grader blade without first having read,
fully understood, and become totally familiar with the Owner’s Manual.
