This section contains general installation information for all optional expansion
modulesfor Passport 4400 units.For information on installinginterface modules
refer to the following sections:
• Section 5, “Ethernet Base Module and Interface Modules”
• Section 8, “Analog Voice Modules.”

Notice of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
Thefollowinglabelcertifiesthat,wheninstalledinanapprovedchassis,thevoice/
faxmodulemeetsEMCLevelAoftheEN55022Standard.Thislabelisalsoaffixed
to the voice/fax module.
In addition to the EMC Standard, this module meets and complies with the EU
50082 Immunity Standard.

Modules cannot be inserted into or removed from the unit while
the Passport 4400 unit is operating. This could cause damage to
the unit or interruption of network service or both.
