Non-BRI terminals The M5000 is Nortel Networks’s Universal

Terminal Adapter (UTA). It adapts a non-BRI data terminal or an analog

(500/2500-type) telephone to the ISDN BRI protocol. Attach a terminal to

the M5000 terminal adapter to initialize it. Refer to the M5000 terminal

adapter user guide for detailed conﬁguration procedures.
