11.5 Maintaining ATM
Debugging affects the system performance. After the debugging, run the undo debugging all
command to disable it immediately.
When ATM runs abnormally, run the debugging command in user view to debug the ATM
interface and locate the fault.
For the procedure of outputting the debugging information, refer to the chapter "Maintenance
and Debugging" in the Nortel Secure Router 8000 Series Configuration Guide - System
Management. For detailed debugging commands, refer to the Nortel Secure Router 8000
Series Command Reference.
Action Command
Enable ATM error debugging. debugging atm error [ interface atm
interface-number [ .subinterface ] [ pvc { pvc-name

Enable ATM event debugging. debugging atm event [ interface atm
interface-number [ .subinterface ] [ pvc { pvc-name

Enable ATM packet debugging. debugging atm packet [ bridge | inarp | ip ]

Enable all ATM debugging.

11.6 Configuration example of IPoA
Networking requirements
In Figure 11-2,connect routers A, B and C to the ATM network. All the PVCs on ATM
interfaces of the three routers use the IPoA application mode.
