10.8 Creating a PVC-group and configuring the PVC
service mapping
10.8.1 Establishing the configuration task
Applicable environment
A PVC-group is a group of PVCs that carry different services. The PVC-groups provide a
better quality of service.
The PVC service mapping enables different PVCs to carry packets that have different
priorities, between two IP addresses.
Preconfiguration tasks
Before creating a PVC-group and configuring PVC service mapping, complete the following
tasks:

Configuring physical attributes for the ATM interface
z
Configuring an IP address and mask for the ATM interface or sub-interface
z
Creating a PVC and configuring the application mode
Data preparation
To create a PVC-group and configure PVC service mapping, you need the following data.
