fr map ip { ip-address [ mask ] | default } dlci-number compression frf9
The command creates an FR mapping and enables FR FRF.9 compression on DLCI.
You configure this command only on the FR main interface or point-to-multipoint FR
sub-interface, and the packet encapsulation type must be IETF. If the packet encapsulation
type is nonstandard, and when you run the command to enable the FR FRF.9 compression, the
system prompts that the nonstandard encapsulation type does not support FRF.9 compression.
z
The FRF.9 compression is suitable for the low-speed link.
RF.9 compression has one synchronization procedure. During the compression, the packets are
disorder. Usually, the compression does not succeed.

The MFR link does not use the FRF.9 compression.

You configure the FRF.9 compression on the two main interfaces.
z
The DLCI of the main interface at the DTE side is learned through the dynamic address
mapping.
After running the undo fr map ip { ip-address | default } dlci-number command on the main
interface at the DTE side succeeds, you m
and DCE communicate normally.
