6.9 Configuring MP limiting parameters
6.9.1 Establishing the configuration task
Applicable environment
After configuring MP binding, you can configure MP limiting parameters to optimize the link
channels.
The limiting parameters include:
z
MTU
z
Upper threshold of the number of the bound links
z
Lower threshold of the number of the bound links
z
Damping function
Preconfiguration tasks
Before configuring MP limiting parameters, complete the following tasks:
z
Configuring physical attributes of the router interface.
z
Configuring the link layer protocol of the interface as PPP.
z
Configuring MP binding.
Data preparation
To configure MP limiting parameters, you need the following data.

2 Maximum number of the MP bundled links
3 Minimum number of the MP bundled links
4 Damping detection time, the maximum times of the flapping, and the time limit of
disabling the damping
