Muting an Alarm
An alarm mute button is located on the SSP interface Ethernet card and the SSP
interface console card. Figure 5-3
shows the location of the alarm mute button on
the SSP interface console card.
Pressing the alarm mute button disables the external visible or audible alarm.
Pressing the button after disabling it has no effect. To re-enable the alarm after
muting it, you must use system console software intervention.
