Connecting Console Equipment
You use the Bay Command Console (BCC) to customize your Versalar 15000
configuration (for example, by editing IP parameters). To establish a local BCC
session, you must connect the Versalar 15000 to a PC or to a VT-100 console.
Complete the steps in one of the following sections:
Connecting a PC with a 25-pin Comm Port to the Console Port
To connect a PC to the console port, you need the following items, which are
shipped with the Versalar 15000:
• Serial console cable with 9-pin receptacle to 25-pin plug connectors
(Order No. 110307)
• Null modem crossover adapter with two 25-pin receptacle connectors
(Order No. 110308)
You may optionally use another standard AT serial cable with a 25-pin plug
connector to extend the total cable length between the console and the PC.
