Installing the BayStack 350 Switch

The BayStack 350 switch is designed for plug-and-play operation; however,
certain parameters must be configured for the switch management function to
become fully operational. A minimal configuration is required when you plan on
remote management or TFTP operations.
In that case, you need to enter the IP address of the switch, the subnet mask, and
the gateway address (refer to Chapter 3, “Using the Console Interface” for more
information about configuring your BayStack 350 switch).
To set the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address for the switch, follow
these steps:
1.
Apply power to the switch.
2.
After the Self-Test screen displays, press [Ctrl]-Y.
The Main Menu is displayed (Figure 2-12
). The Main Menu hierarchy is
described in “Chapter 3, “Using the Console Interface.”

Select IP Configuration/Setup (or press i) from the Main Menu.
