Filtering and forwarding incoming and outgoing traffic to the appropriate
route without slowing down the traffic
Store-and-forward forwarding mode to minimize erroneous packets on the
network
Autonegotiation on each port with the following four modes:
10BASE-T half-duplex
10BASE-T full-duplex
100 BASE-TX half-duplex
100 BASE-TX full-duplex
Back pressure in half-duplex mode
Automatic polarity detection and correction
Easy plug-and-play installation with no software to configure, which saves
time and minimizes the potential for configuration errors
A comprehensive LED indicator panel for monitoring switching condition
and individual port status
Conformity to the IEEE 802.3u 100BASE-TX Class II standard
Conformity to the 802.3 10BASE-T standard
Per port buffer sizes, as shown in Table 1-3

Note:
In order for ports on a
BayStack 70 Series 10/100 Ethernet Switch
to
operate in full-duplex mode, the switch must be connected to a device that
supports autonegotiation in accordance with the IEEE 802.3u specification.
