Creating a new cluster
This section describes how to create a new cluster.
Nortel Secure Network Access Switch (Nortel SNAS) is member of a
cluster. A cluster can consist of a single unit of a group of units that share
the same configuration parameters. There can be more than one cluster in
the network, each with its own set of parameters and services.
Establish a console connection by cabling the unit to a terminal or a
computer running a terminal emulator session.

Using the supplied console cable, connect the terminal to the
console port.

Power on the terminal and the Nortel Secure Network Access Switch
