clear boot backup-configuration
Clears the filename specified as the backup configuration file. In the event that WSS Software cannot read the configu-
ration file at boot time, a backup configuration file is not used.
Syntax clear boot backup-configuration
Defaults None.
Access Enabled.
History Introduced in WSS Software Version 4.1.
Examples The following command clears the name specified as the backup configuration file from the
configuration of the WSS:
WSS# clear boot backup-configuration
success: Backup boot config filename was cleared.

clear boot config
Resets to the factory default the configuration that WSS Software loads during a reboot.
Syntax clear boot config
Defaults None.
Access Enabled.
Examples The following commands back up the configuration file on a WSS, reset the switch to its factory
default configuration, and reboot the switch:
WSS# copy configuration tftp://10.1.1.1/backupcfg
success: sent 365 bytes in 0.401 seconds [ 910 bytes/sec]
WSS# clear boot config
success: Reset boot config to factory defaults.
WSS# reset system force
...... rebooting ......
