clear boot backup-configuration
Clears the filename specified as the backup configuration file. In the event that WSS Software cannot read the configu-
ration file at boot time, a backup configuration file is not used.
Syntax
clear boot backup-configuration
Defaults
None.

Introduced in WSS Software Version 4.1.
Examples
The following command clears the name specified as the backup configuration file from the
configuration of the WSS:
WSS# clear boot backup-configuration
success: Backup boot config filename was cleared.

Resets to the factory default the configuration that WSS Software loads during a reboot.
Syntax
clear boot config
Defaults
None.

Examples
The following commands back up the configuration file on a WSS, reset the switch to its factory
default configuration, and reboot the switch:
WSS# copy configuration tftp://10.1.1.1/backupcfg
success: sent 365 bytes in 0.401 seconds [ 910 bytes/sec]
WSS# clear boot config
success: Reset boot config to factory defaults.
WSS# reset system force
...... rebooting ......
