History
Usage To use this command, you must already have generated a public-private encryption key pair with the
crypto generate key command.
Enter crypto generate request admin, crypto generate request eap, or crypto generate request web and press Enter.
When you are prompted, type the identifying values in the fields, or press Enter if the field is optional. You must enter a
common name for the WSS.
This command outputs a PKCS #10 text string in Privacy-Enhanced Mail protocol (PEM) format that you paste to
another location for submission to the certificate authority. You then send the request to the certificate authority to
obtain a signed copy of the WSS certificate as a PKCS #7 object file.
Examples To request an administrative certificate from a certificate authority, type the following command:
