Syntax

set service-profile name web-portal-session-timeout seconds

The default Web Portal Web-based AAA session timeout is 5 seconds.

Usage

When a client that has connected through Web Portal Web-based AAA enters standby or hibernation

mode, the client may be idle for longer than the User idle-timeout period. When the User idle-timeout period

expires, WSS Software places the client’s Web Portal Web-based AAA session in the Deassociated state. The

Web Portal Web-based AAA session can remain in the Deassociated state for a configurable amount of time

before being terminated automatically. This configurable amount of time is called the Web Portal Web-based

AAA session timeout period. You can use this command to set the number of seconds in the Web Portal Web-

based AAA session timeout period.

Note that the Web Portal Web-based AAA session timeout period applies only to Web Portal Web-based AAA sessions

already authenticated with a username and password. For all other Web Portal Web-based AAA sessions, the default

Web Portal Web-based AAA session timeout period of 5 seconds is used.

Examples

The following command allows Web Portal Web-based AAA sessions to remain in the

Deassociated state 180 seconds before being terminated automatically.

WSS# set service-profile sp1 web-portal-session-timeout 180
