IP Services Commands 131
Nortel WLAN—Security Switch 2300 Series Command Line Reference
Usage
The maximum number of Telnet sessions supported on a WSS is eight. If SSH is also
enabled, the switch can have up to eight Telnet or SSH sessions, in any combination, and one
console session.
Examples
The following command enables the Telnet server on a WSS:
WSS# set ip telnet server enable
success: change accepted.

set ntp
Enables or disables the NTP client on a WSS.
Syntax
set ntp {enable | disable}
Defaults
The NTP client is disabled by default.
Access
Enabled.
Usage
If NTP is configured on a system whose current time differs from the NTP server time by
more than 10 minutes, convergence of the WSS time can take many NTP update intervals. Nortel
recommends that you set the time manually to the NTP server time before enabling NTP to avoid a
significant delay in convergence.
Examples
The following command enables the NTP client:
WSS# set ntp enable
success: NTP Client enabled
