clear interface
Removes an IP interface.
Syntax
clear interface vlan-id ip
Defaults
None.
Access
Enabled.
Usage
If the interface you want to remove is configured as the system IP address, removing the address can
interfere with system tasks that use the system IP address, including the following:
• Mobility domain operations
• Topology reporting for dual-homed APs
• Default source IP address used in unsolicited communications such as AAA accounting reports and SNMP traps
Examples
The following command removes the IP interface configured on VLAN mauve:
WSS# clear interface mauve ip
success: cleared ip on vlan mauve
