Ensure there is no source of hydrogen such as
batteries being charged, e.g. on boats or in
uninterruptable power supplies.
Ensure there is not excessive smoke or fumes from
devices that use coal or charcoal to heat tobacco.
Press the test/hush button to silence the alarm.
If the unit continues to sound, it is possibly defective and
should be replaced.

The alarm regularly checks for low batteries, and will
alert you if a low battery is detected. The alarm will also
beep and the yellow LED ash to warn you the batteries
must be replaced.
Pressing the Hush button will silence the beep and the
ashing yellow LED for 12 hours, if no other trouble
conditions exist.
WARNING: Use only batteries specied. Use of different
batteries may have a detrimental effect on the carbon
monoxide alarm. Removal of the batteries will render this
alarm inoperative
Remove the alarm from its mounting base by
twisting it counterclockwise, and then remove
the battery cover.

Replacing Batteries
Troubleshooting
Ensure there is no outdoor source of carbon monoxide
in the vicinity, e.g. a car with engine running, heavy
trafc, heavy air pollution, barbecue fumes, etc.
