4.3.7.2 Setup Trc/Dbg Logging
The Trc/Dbg (Trace/Debug) Logging Option is a feature used mainly by service technicians for
troubleshooting purposes. The path from the Main Window is
Configuration > Setup Logging > Setup
Trc/Dbg Logging
. Click on OK to save the settings.
4.3.7.2.1 TRC and DBG Tabs
The TRC and DBG tabs (Figure 4-8) contain IDs that correspond to bits in FmXP. The description of
each bit is also shown in the window. Enable the ID you want to log by double-clicking on it, or
highlighting it and clicking the
Enable button. A check mark appears in the circle next to the ID to
signify that data for that feature will be logged to a file. Disable the ID by double clicking it, or
highlighting it and clicking the
Disable button.
NOTE Log files can be viewed by any Windows-based text editor. It is recommended that you
periodically delete old files to avoid running out of disk space.
