4.3 User Preferences
User preferences for FmXP are located on the Configuration Menu in the Main Window. You may
change these preferences at any time.
 NOTE Changing a preference establishes a new default setting. The new setting will be in effect
until the preference is changed again.
Preferences include:
 Language  Setup Logging
 Units  Automatic File Deletion
 Operation Level  Setup Scripts Options
 Password  Runtime Preferences
 Feature Access
4.3.1 Language
This feature lets you select the language FmXP uses. A check mark appears in front of the currently
selected language.
 NOTE Language choices other than English must be downloaded from the Nordson ASYMTEK
web site and added to FmXP folder to be available on the menu list. If the desired
language is not present in the menu listing, it must be downloaded.
To set up language:
1. Select
Configuration from the Main Menu.
2. Choose
Select Language.
3. Click on the desired language.
 FmXP is now in the language selected.
To download a language
1. Log into www.nordsonasymtek.com
.
2. Select
Tech Support from the home page.
3. Locate
Software – FmXP/FmXP & ECNT/ECXP Language Updates and click on the
desired language to jump to the update page.
4.3.2 Units
This feature lets you select a unit of measurement for all measurements displayed in FmXP. A check
mark appears in front of the currently selected unit.
To set up units:
1. Select
Configuration from the Main Menu.
2. Choose
Setup Units.
3. Click on the desired measurement unit to select.
 FmXP uses the unit of measurement selected.
