B.1 Error Messages
Use Table B-1 to identify possible solutions to some FmXP software issues.
Table B-1 Error Messages
Symptom Possible Cause Recovery
Receive “Motor references not
found” message during startup.
A Dispensing head has lost its
Home reference.
Click on OK to Home the
Dispensing Head.
B Power may be OFF.
Press ON (l) on the Operator’s
Console.
Receive “General Protection
Fault” message during
production run or during
programming.
FmXP has received a bad
command.
1. If possible, exit FmXP.
2. Exit Windows NT.
3. Restart Windows NT.
4. Restart FmXP and
begin again.
Receive “Application Error”
during production run or during
programming.
FmXP has stopped.
1. If possible, exit FmXP.
2. Exit Windows NT.
3. Restart Windows NT.
4. Restart FmXP and
begin again.
NOTE: If the Computer is
completely unresponsive, turn it
OFF (0) and wait 30 seconds.
After 30 seconds, turn it back
ON (I) and restart FmXP.
During startup, you receive error
messages that prevent
completion of the initialization
process.
Many causes are possible.
Record the error message and
call a trained service technician.
