7.6.4 Post-Edit Pattern Origin
When a library pattern (or local pattern) is first created, the offset from the workpiece origin to the pattern
origin is recorded so the pattern can be automatically located when changes are required. Because of this
fixed offset, it is suggested that when modifying an existing library pattern, the board that was originally
used to create the pattern is used again.
If the original board cannot be used and the new board does not have the same offset from the workpiece
origin to the library pattern origin, the library pattern origin will have to be re-taught each time the pattern
is edited.
NOTE This origin relationship is used only for editing a pattern. Placing the pattern in a
program does not use this offset and the pattern can be placed anywhere on the board.
7.6.5 Pattern List Box Contents
In the Programming Window, some Pattern list boxes will contain only library pattern names, some will
contain only local pattern names, and some will contain both.
7.6.6 Pattern Library Configuration
To configure the Pattern Library, select Configuration > Setup Runtime Preferences > Pattern Library
from the FmXP Main Menu. See 4.3.10.8 Pattern Library for details.
