7.6.1.3 Opening a Library Pattern
Use this menu item to open a pattern and display it on the screen.
To open a library pattern:
NOTE The workpiece origin of the currently opened program must allow the library pattern
origin to be located without going outside the limits of the dispensing system. Therefore,
the origin of the workpiece in the opened program should be close to the origin of the
workpiece of the program that was open when the library pattern was created.
1. In the Programming Window, select
Program > Library > Open Library Pattern or click the
Pattern button on the Program Commands toolbar and select Open Library Pattern.
2. Select the pattern you wish to open from the list in the dialog box. See Figure 7-17.

3. Click OK.
FmXP will open the pattern and display it on the screen for viewing, editing,
embedding, testing, etc.
7.6.1.4 Embedding a Library Pattern
Use this selection to copy a library pattern and make it a local pattern.
To embed a library pattern:
NOTE The library pattern must be currently displayed in the Programming Window in order to
use this feature.
1. Open the Library Pattern if not already open. See 7.6.1.3 Opening a Library Pattern.
2. In the Programming Window, select
Program > Library > Embed Library Pattern or click
the
Pattern button on the Program Commands toolbar and select Embed Library Pattern.
3. Click on
OK.
The pattern is copied and the prefix <LIB> is removed from the library pattern name.
