To exit FmXP:
1. Save any open files.
2. Exit using one of the following methods:
• To exit FmXP from the Main Menu, click on
Exit .
• To exit from other Windows, you must first return to the Main Menu by clicking the
icon or by selecting
File > Return to Main from the menu bar and then clicking on Exit.
 NOTE Be sure to exit Windows XP before powering down the system.
3.4 FmXP Windows and Menus Tour
There are seven major windows in FmXP. All the major windows can be accessed from the Main Menu,
with the exception of the Edit Window. Submenus and options are in drop-down menus below main
buttons in all windows. The major windows are:
• Main Window
• Jog Window
• Production Window
• Run Window
• Programming Window
• Edit Window
• Tools Window
In addition to exploring the major windows, this section explores the Configuration Menu and Online
Help also accessed from the Main Window. You can also access Online Help from all major windows by
clicking on the
Help button.
 NOTE As you tour the windows, you will notice that some of the buttons or options are grayed-
out. This indicates that the feature is not available. This may be due to hardware/software
configuration or options selected.
