6-46 Beginning Programming
6.8.2.6 Editing Dot and Line Parameters
You may define up to 10 different dot and line styles in a program. You may edit these styles anytime by
opening your program and selecting
Edit Dot Parameters or Edit Line Parameters from the Edit menu.
Refer to 6.5 Dot Parameters and 6.6 Line Parameters.
NOTE When you edit dot/line style parameters, it affects all dots/lines in the program associated
with that style. If you just want to change parameters for one dot or line in a program,
you should define a new style.
6.8.2.7 Editing Dot/Line Style and Weight
To edit dot/line style or weight for an existing program command:
1. Perform the steps outlined in 6.8.2.1 Opening a Program and Pattern.
2. Double click on the program line you wish to change.
A Teach Window opens.
3. Select the desired line style from the drop-down list.
4. Enter the desired weight, if applicable.
5. Click on
Done.
Your program will be updated to reflect changes.
6.8.3 Editing the Main Program
NOTE It is unlikely that you will need to edit the Main Program.
To edit the Main Program:
1. Perform the steps outlined in 6.8.2.1 Opening a Program and Pattern to open the
desired program.
2. Select
Edit > Edit Main Program from the menu bar.
3. Make the desired changes.
4. To return to the workpiece pattern, select
Edit > Edit Pattern-Workpiece from the menu bar.
6.8.4 Editing the Pre-Fiducial Block
Permission is required to edit the Pre-Fiducial Block. Contact Nordson ASYMTEK for more information.
Once permission has been obtained, follow the steps below to edit the block:
To edit the Pre-Fiducial Block:
1. Perform the steps outlined in 6.8.2.1 Opening a Program and Pattern to open the
desired program.
2. Select
Edit > Edit Pre-Fiducial Block from the menu bar.
3. Make the desired changes.
4. To return to the workpiece pattern, select
Edit > Edit Pattern-Workpiece from the menu bar.
