Item Description
Dispense Gap
The Dispense Gap is the distance between the needle tip and the
substrate during dispensing operations. This distance is one of the more
common adjustments made to optimize dispensing programs. The units
are in inches. Typically 15-20 mils (0.015-0.020 in) is sufficient.
Speed
Speed refers to how fast the dispensing head moves during dispensing.
This parameter is actually not used for weight control lines, but basic lines
where the speed of the dispensing head affects the amount of fluid
dispensed. The units are inches/second.
Wt-Crl Speed
Selecting “Compute” will cause the software to determine the maximum
dispense velocity at which the line can be dispensed given the existing
Weight Control Line parameters.
This value may be scaled from 0 to 100% of its original value by means of
the "Percent of Max DJ Weight Control Speed" parameter in the
[Characteristics] group of the valve’s fluid file. The higher this percentage,
the more closely the Valve Cycle Time (Valve On Time + Valve Off Time)
approaches the value used during the flowrate calibration procedure.
Because of this, run the dispensing program with a value as close to 100%
as possible to optimize weight control accuracy.
Accel Distance
The distance added to the beginning of the line to allow the dispensing
head to reach the desired dispense velocity before dispensing begins.
When the text in the box reads "Table", the software computes this value
as a function of dispense velocity and jerk. You can also enter a specific
value by clicking on "Table" and typing the value.
Decel Distance
The distance added to the end of the line to allow the valve to complete
dispensing at the desired velocity before the dispensing head decelerates.
When the text in the box reads "Table", the software computes this value
as a function of dispense velocity and jerk. You can also enter a specific
value by clicking on "Table" and typing the value.
