6-20 Beginning Programming
To run a program:
1. In the Programming Window, select
Run > Dry Run from the menu bar.
2. Watch the video display as the dispensing head performs the programmed commands. The
camera will act as the needle and follow the lines, but no dispensing will be performed.
You may click on the
Stop button at any time to stop the run at the end of the
program. The current board will be completed before dispensing stops.
Click on
Abort to abort the run immediately.
WARNING! If the lines were “dry dispensed” at an incorrect angle, you may need to reprogram
the workpiece origin and workpiece angle. If so, you will also need to reprogram
the lines.
6.5 Dot Parameters
You can control the size and accuracy of dot dispensing by experimenting with dot parameters. You can
also change dispensing head behavior and valve time to ensure clean dispensing. The Dot Parameters are
divided into four categories according to when each parameter is implemented during the dispensing
process. The categories are:
Pre-Dispense
During Dispense
Post Dispense
Advanced
You may define up to ten different dot styles in FmXP. Each style may have different parameters. The
following sections define dot parameter options. To edit dot parameters, see 6.5.5 Editing Dot
Parameters.
See 6.6.4 Jetted Line Parameters for Dispense Jet Line Parameters.
