Beginning Programming 6-7
6.4.1.15 Multipass
This feature is for applications that require multiple dispenses in the same location. It is commonly used
for Adhesion and Sealing applications that require a "seal run" after adhesion.
6.4.1.16 Coat Dot
Coat Dot is used to dispense a single shot (i.e., a dot pattern) of flux material followed by a short burst of
air. This instruction is available only when one or both of the configured valves is a Flux Jet.
6.4.1.17 Coat Line
Coat Line is used to dispense flux material along a straight path (i.e., a line pattern). This instruction is
available only when one or both of the configured valves is a Flux Jet.
6.4.1.18 Coat Grid
Coat Grid is used to dispense a grid (in XY) of flux lines. This instruction is available only when one or
more of the configured valves is a Flux Jet.
6.4.1.19 Dot Grid
Dot Grid is used to dispense a grid (in XY) of flux dots. This instruction is available only when one or
more of the configured valves is a Flux Jet.
6.4.2 Program Comment
Clicking on the Comment button lets you insert a comment into your program. A comment can be
any message you choose, a reference for example, or a clarifying remark. It is inserted into the program
just like a command, but does not execute a command or affect the program in any way.
6.4.3 Disable/Enable Instruction
Clicking on the Disable/Enable button allows you to disable or enable selected lines of the currently
loaded dispensing program.
6.4.4 Send Command
Click on the Send Command button to insert a send command into your program. If a specific
program requires an ACL or PMAC command not accessible from the menus or toolbars, you can create
the command by utilizing the Send ACL or Send PMAC Command. This button opens a dialog box for
inserting ACL or PMAC commands directly into your program. Century and M-600 Series Dispensing
Systems use ACL commands for both the Dispenser and the Conveyor. M-2000 Series use ACL
commands for the Conveyor only. The Dispenser uses PMAC commands. X-1000 Series use PMAC for
both the Dispenser and the Conveyor. Spectrum and DispenseMate Series Dispensing Systems use ACL
Plus for both the Dispenser and the Conveyor.
6.4.5 Pattern
Clicking the Pattern button opens a drop-down menu containing all pattern-related functions. For
step-by-step instructions on creating a pattern, see Section 7 - Advanced Programming.
