6-2 Beginning Programming
6.3 Creating a Program
1. Select Teach a Program from the Main Menu.
The Programming Window opens.
The last saved program opens when you start FmXP.
2. To create a new program, select
File > New from the menu bar or click on the Program
Wizard
icon on the toolbar.
The Programming Window (Figure 6-1) opens. Notice that, by default, the Workpiece
pattern opens.

NOTE All FmXP programs contain a Workpiece pattern. The Workpiece pattern may contain
dispensing commands as well as commands to execute additional patterns. Refer to the
Section 7 - Advanced Programming for instructions on creating a pattern.
3. You are now ready to enter program commands.
Notice that the Pattern End instruction is included in the program.
4. To enter a new program command, position your cursor at the beginning of “Line 1” and
press enter to insert a blank line.
5. Select the desired program command from the Program Commands Toolbar at the right of
the Programming Window and follow the prompts. See 6.4 Dispensing Commands.
