4-126 System Configuration and Setup
4.6 Production Setup
Prior to running production, it is imperative to perform a production setup routine to ensure your system
is ready. Production setup tasks include the following:
Clearing the work area of any obstacles to dispensing head movement
Checking for presence and condition of the purge cup, banjo wiper, and scale cup
Installing new needles, shields, syringes, etc.
Running a Machine Offsets Routine
Production setup includes the Non-scripted Prompted Setup and Scripted Prompted Setup routines
summarized in Table 4-20 and should be performed:
Prior to all production runs
After a valve has been removed or reinstalled
After a new needle has been placed on the valve assembly
After moving or focusing the camera
After moving or replacing the height sensor probe assembly
Anytime you are experiencing inaccurate dispensing
WARNING! CAUTION!
Failure to perform a production setup could result in incorrect offset parameters,
and missed preparatory procedures which may cause damage to a workpiece
and/or the dispensing system.
