4.5 Machine Setup
Initial machine setup consists of establishing machine offset parameters, using one of the offset routines
listed in Table 4-18. An offset routine is performed by Nordson ASYMTEK after dispensing system
installation and configuration, but you should also perform one when any of the following events occur:
 Camera Change or Location Adjustment
 Purge Station/Weigh Station Change or Location Adjustment
 Valve Change (Not Syringe)
 Needle Sensor Change or Location Adjustment
 Needle Change
 Height Sensor Change or Location Adjustment
 Software Upgrade/Reinstallation
The offset routine you choose depends on your dispensing system model and particular application. All
four routines perform the steps required to set up accurate offset parameters that will prevent damage to
the dispensing system or workpieces and help to ensure accurate dispensing performance.

Allows you to customize the Valve Offsets routine to fit your
particular setup needs. You can use one of the standard scripts
included with FmXP, or make one of your own.
Allows you to stop at any point in the setup process, and finish
the process at a later time without having to start from the
beginning as long as you do not exit FmXP.
