Table 4-16 Heater Options
Command Description
Heater Number
Heater 1 is the left heater station. Heater 2 is the right heater station. Each
heater station must be configured individually and must be active to be
configured. Click on the down arrow to select the heater number from the list.
Heater Type Select the heater type for the selected heater: Anafaze or MPC555.
Reinitialize Re-establishes communication with the system heaters.
Controlled Process
Heat
If checked, Controlled Process Heat (CpH) is activated. CpH increases
functional control that eliminates operator interaction. It features software-
managed heat levels (e.g., warm up, process ramp, cool down) with
programmable shut-off timers and ‘step-down’ or ‘no-heat’ capability when a
part is not present.
Autopurge
during wait
If checked, purges the valve while the dispensing system is waiting for the
temperature of the workpiece to reach the set point. Purging is performed
according to the settings in Fluid Manager.
Enable skip
during wait
(Production Level)
If checked, allows production level operators to skip the wait and continue
dispensing before the heaters reach set point. If the heaters have not reached
the set point temperature by the time a board is ready for dispensing, FmXP
issues a warning stating that the set point has not been reached.
Purge before
resuming
If checked, purges the valve before resuming dispensing once the
temperature has reached the set point, regardless of the settings in Fluid
Manager.
Turn heater channels
off when application
terminates
If checked, ensures that the Heaters turn OFF when you exit FmXP.
Bypass operator
prompt when enabling
heater channels
If this setting is OFF, the user will be prompted prior to FmXP turning on
heater channels which are programmed to be on for the current dispense
program. If this setting is ON, the heater channels will be turned on without
prompting the operator.
Enable Pre-Heat
Timer
If checked, an error message displays if the workpiece is conveyed out of the
pre-heat station before the indicated time has elapsed.
Verify Heater File and
Settings
If this setting is ON, FmXP will verify that the correct heater file is loaded, and
that the current controller settings match the settings of the heater file.
