4-106 System Configuration and Setup
To associate a filtered barcode with a dispensing program:
1. Define filter parameters in the Setup Scanner window.
2. In the Main Window, click on
Teach a Program.
3. In the Programming Window, click on
File > Barcode Association (Figure 4-91).

4. Position a sample board or part with a barcode identical to the one used for production
under the scanner.
5. In the Barcode Association window, click on
Read Barcode.
 FmXP scans the barcode according to the filter parameters defined in the Setup Scanner
window and displays the information in the Filtered Barcode text box.
6. Click on
Select next to the Program text box.
 A window opens in which you can select the “.fmw” program file to associate with the
filtered barcode.
7. Once you have selected the program, click on
Associate.
 The filtered barcode and the associated program appear in the text box at the bottom of
the window.
8. Click on
OK.
