FmXP uses the barcode filter to identify specific barcodes. Defining the barcode filter
determines how the barcode is used to identify specific boards or parts, which are then
associated with specific dispensing programs. Part or all of a barcode can be filtered.
Example 1: To filter the entire barcode 1234
789:
- Select
Start At = 1 and How Many = 4. Click on Add. (1,4) is displayed in the text
box.
- Select
Start At = 7 and How Many = 3. Click on Add. (7,3) is displayed in the text
box.
Example 2: To filter the entire barcode 234
7890:
- Select
Start At = 2 and How Many = 3. Click on Add. (2,3) is displayed in the text
box.
- Select
Start At = 7 and How Many = 4. Click on Add. (7,4) is displayed in the text
box.
8. Click on
OK.
NOTE Once you have defined a filter for the barcode in the Setup Scanner window,
the filtered barcode needs to be associated with a dispensing program so that
FmXP knows which program to run based on the filtered barcode scanned.
