To assign the automatic conveyor width (AWC) to a program:
NOTE Conveyor width should be calibrated before it is assigned to a dispensing program.
1. In the Programming window, select
Edit > Edit Program Options > Set Conveyor Width.
The Programming Automatic Conveyor Width Window opens (Figure 4-81).
Settings Task Description
Teach conveyor width Select Teach to jog the conveyor to desired width and teach that position.
Enter conveyor width
clearance (inches)
Additional width/space that will be added to ensure there is enough
part/carrier clearance.
Test conveyor width Go - Conveyor will move to the programmed width.
Home conveyors Home – Conveyor moves to the home position.
Calibrate conveyor width Calibrate – Calibrates the automatic conveyor width.

2. Select Teach to then jog to the desired conveyor width or type in the desired width in
inches.
3. Select the
Automatic Conveyor Width Enabled box. A checkmark in the box indicates it
is enabled.
4. Add a clearance value if needed. It is recommended that you use the default setting of .025
inches to allow for some variation in part/carrier width.
5. Click on
Go to test that the conveyor moves to the programmed width.
6. Click on
OK to assign the programmed width to the loaded program.
7. Save the program to save the conveyor width setup information with the program.
