4.4.8 Workpiece Alignment
Workpiece alignment refers to the position of the board or part in relation to the dispensing head XY
location. Even if the board is slightly askew, FmXP can use workpiece alignment to adjust the patterns
and dispense correctly. Once you have established workpiece alignment parameters, workpiece alignment
will be performed at the beginning of each production run and at the beginning of each new board in the
run. For instructions on how to set up workpiece alignment, refer to 5.4.2 Workpiece Alignment.
4.4.9 Conveyor Setup
Setup Conveyors allows you to define, test, and reinitialize the conveyor(s) on your dispensing system.
To set up the conveyor:
NOTE If your dispensing system is equipped with a dual-lane conveyor, you need to configure
both conveyors.
1. In the Main Window, select
Configuration > Setup Conveyors.
The Setup Conveyors window opens (Figure 4-76).
2. Click on
Configure.
A conveyor configuration window opens. See Figure 4-77 (ACL Plus) or Figure 4-82
(MPC555).
3. Use the options in the window(s) to configure the conveyor for your dispensing system.
Refer to Figure 4-77 (ACL Plus) or Figure 4-83 through Figure 4-87 (MPC555) for
descriptions.
On X-1000 Series systems (MPC555), you can save the preferences on each tab by
clicking on the
Apply button before going to the next tab.
4. Click on
OK to close the configuration window.
5. In the Setup Conveyors window, click on
OK.
